Remember the good ole days when reporters submitted articles to editors? In this age of tweeting and texting the editor can’t keep up. I love this article on USA Today about the recent North Korean missile launch. The writer did a wonderful job converting kilometers to miles, but failed to understand that a comma in North Korea equals a decimal point in the United States. Wow, 2,780 miles is about 2,480 miles beyond the earth’s atmosphere. If that were true I believe North Korea missiles could reach the moon, forget about Washington D.C. I believe 2.78 miles is more likely.
Come on people. No wonder our politicians manage to stay in power and keep the voters fooled. The press is so concerned with persuading the voter they forget about facts.
